Organized and led a group of 42 black men who walked from Philadelphia to Washington, DC for the historic Million Man March. During our journey we retraced the underground railroad route in reverse, stopping at historical locations and studing the events that took place at those locations.
The most moving and spiritual stop was at Hosanna AME Church located outside Lincoln University. At this location during the day runaways were hid in the floorboards of the church during the day and at night speakers such as Fredrick Douglas, Soujourner Truth and Harriet Tubman spoke and gave instructions. The day of our arrival the church was celebrating their 150 year anniversary aand behold the spirits of our ancestors was abundant in the church.
